Condit! -- Chris @ 5:39pm || Post in the forum
I knew it was only a matter of time before a *real* site remembered what the big story was before hell broke lose on September 11.
Told you. A question of when not if he would be back in the news. I think something is going on with that guy and the news, nothing can really seem to keep him out of the news for a good amount of time.
Even during the Condit thingie, there were a few stories that gave us a day break. Like when Nikolay Soltys went on his killing spree back in the end of August. Or the guy that was in his house and he had a shoot out with the cops... all in California too. Maybe it's something in the water they drink
Windows XP Out In... -- Chris @ 12:33pm || Post in the forum
I don't know how many more days till it is out to be exact. Well, if you look at it this way, it is going to be released on the 25th of October this year. So that is at least 25 more days.
So what does this all mean for you who uses AOL and Napster? Well, the bad part is that Microsoft did not include AOL in its connection wizard, leaving AOL with its pants down really. So AOL is now making a new mission to send out CDs to everyone that will enable AOL to be use with the new XP. See what you people do, you make all of the rest of us that don't use AOL get their CDs too
What's all of the fuss about? Basically just some more features that makes the whole computer experience better for the end user. Installiation has gotten a bit longer too - considdering there is a 300 meg default swap file. From the old 30 minutes with 95, to 45 minutes with 2000, and now well over an hour with the latest version, XP.
So then if you want to "upgrade", what do you need on your computer? Here's some of the specs that you'll need: CPU: 233MHz (single or dual processor) RAM: 64MB Hard Drive Space: 1.5 gigs Other: Mouse, Keyboard, CD-rom, Super VGA (800 x 600)
And the cost of this all is only 300 dollars if you are buying it for the first time. Or 199 for an upgrade.
I probably should go on more about what I found out about XP on the 'net, but I don't feel like it right now.
