NEWS:A day that will live in infamy -- Chris @ 8:41pm || Post in the forum
There is nothing funny on this day, or the day before. Nothing to joke about. This is all that has been on the news. The only thing that they have been talking about is the people that have died, the people that are responsible for all of the deaths and so on.
I still cannot think about it, all of the people that have died, and yet to be found. Sad to say, but a lot of the people may not really be found as they would like (alive is the best choice) but given that the fires there were burning and still are burning, some of the people trapped under the wreckage may be burnt.
This is reality. Although this should never have happened, and should never happen again, things like this can come and change your life in the matter of seconds, and there is nothing that can be done about it. Don't go around taking life for granted, remember just how easily it can be ended, take it one day at a time.
I would not be supprised if some of the people that were in that building were viewing this page at the time that the plane slammed into their building. Think of it, they were just doing what they normally did - work. You see the people that are on TV telling what they saw and stuff, they were not even thinking of something like this. They just thought it was going to be another day at work.
What is going to happen to prevent these things from happening ever again? Not much can be done. We cannot have cannons on buildings to prevent this. Tighter security at airports for one. And classified info will now be handled with more care. Things are going to change from this, it took this many people before someone changed the way that things are done in the US. It is sad that someone would use the weaknesses of this nation to kill thousands of innocent people.
Words cannot yet describe the scene there. More buildings have since fallen from the first two Trade Centers that tumbled down at around 10:00am Tuesday. The scence cannot be described, not matter how good of a writter you maybe, I don't care, only pictures can really give you a true feel for what happened.
With more buildings falling, they have some wreckage moved, and then once they have that done, another building falls. No doubt about it, but September 11, 2001 is another day that will live in infamy. No one will ever forget this as long as we all are living.
