News:Ugh... Where Is Common Sense These Days? -- Chris @ 9:02pm
What is wrong with some of the people that say they are very sorry for the parents when they hear that their child was killed in a hot car? Seriously, what is wrong with some of the people that say it is not the parents' fault? They left them in the car, no one else left them there.
You have got to be FARKing kidding me on that one. What the heck are they talking about? "I did not know that it was going to get that hot"
One, why did you leave your child that was too young to get out of the car alone in the first palce? Two, how did anyone not know that a car can easily get up to 130 degrees in the summer
People are shocked when something like that happens... well, there is only so much that a 3-year-old can take ya know. I just really gets me mad when I hear people that say they did not know that could happen, they were only away for 5 minutes. Still, 5 minutes is enough for a crazy person to come by and steal your car with your kid in it. So it is not a good idea to leave even for a minute.
I am not saying that they deserved what happened, just what the heck did they think was going to happen when they did that?
Sci-Tec:Is AIM More Of An Annoyance? -- Chris @ 12:48pm
We should all know what AIM is now, incase you don't, AIM stands for AOL Instant Messenger.
It lets people talk to each other in real time. Not like email where it can be a lot harder to send messages back and forth, back and forth like in a conversation.
What have I found out about AIM since I use it more than 24 hours, 7 days a week? I found that at times it can annoy you more than it can help you.
At times I will have to stop all of the other "work" that I am doing, such as on this site, and talk to the 5 or so people that IMed me. Now doesn't that sound fun? No, it is not fun... I find the thing to be down right annoying at times. It is not like I can just block some of them too, some of them have at least 10 different screen names, and my blocked folder already has 20 people in it - I don't want to add anymore
So what are really my options to thi "problem"? Well, I can just exit the program all together, put an away message up, but still be at the computer, or just not answer people when they IM me and get them madder. I like the away message idea, but then as soon as you take the thing down, they will just start IMing you again.
Bottom line is that if you have a lot of people on your buddy list, and you are online as much as me, you will start to find the thing annyoing. So only get it and load the buddy list up with people that you don't know if you have a lot of time on your hands. I think one of the reasons why I have so many people IMing me is 'cause I have more than 150 people on the buddy list, and at anytime I can have more than 10 people online, and at peak times I can get 30 easily... lucky me
