Misc: Too...Darn...Hot -- Chris @ 11:39pm
Too hot in the nation right now, got blackouts all over the place, and they have not gotten to me as of yet. And if they get me now, I will be very mad since I would be screwed since well... it's dark

What did it get up to here in Jersey? 100? Yea, just about and what was the heat index? about 110. Does it need to be any worse? I went to the bank today and the darn bank book felt like it was melting

All the way from the West Coast to the East Coast the heat has been hitting hard. From 112 in Cali to 100 here in Jersey. And the heat has been blamed for at least two deaths.

The hardest hit are the young and the old people. So uh... why not check up on gramps if you don't seem him come out for a week straight? He'll love you for it

Sci-Tec: Let Me Get This Straight -- Chris @ 6:16pm
Wait, is that right? They want Microsoft to have two monopolies instead of just one?

Microsoft Corp. appealed to the Supreme Court on Tuesday to overturn a ruling that the software giant is an illegal monopoly that has harmed consumers and stifled competition.

Heh. You know that is what will happen. They go into another field, they will take over that one. There is no stopping it.

They want to get into the car industry, so be it. They got it if they want to. Why would they want a car that asks you "yes or no" before the airbags went off? And you all know what would happen with the gas right? The car would then only run on some kind of special kind of gas that can only be found on the Microsoft property, and it is shipped out world wide from there.

Something like that would change the face of this eart as we know it

Entertainment: Clones, Isn't It Ironic? -- Chris @ 2:13pm
The next Star Wars Episode II film will be named, "The Attack of the Clones"

What are scientist trying to do? Clone up to 200 people.

I think there is something going on now, I think Lucas is going to let them clone the humans, wait a while, then start filming them. And when all clones go mad he will have the last laugh and had made millions off of the film, "Attack of the Clones"

Seriously, think the man could have gotten a better title for it? I know I cannot think of anything right now, and in turn should not be talking, but c'mon. The guy is brilliant, he made the "Phantom Menance" sound cool. And the other 3 before were the best.

I like "The Empire Strikes Back" that's got to be the best one. I don't like the parts with Yoda in them though...

What will this upcoming episode be about? Who knows... I think I saw the trailer for it... beats me

"News": U.S. Holds Strike Back From Iraq -- Chris @ 11:46am
The United States has postponed the bombing of Iraqi air defense sites, more commonly known as "SAM sites"

This comes after Iraq missle turrents fired upon U.S. planes about 1 month ago.

The decision was taken, sources said, because of concern that the negative reaction from U.S. allies in the region is not worth the limited effect the bombing would have on Iraqi air defenses.

Mmm hmm...?

Misc: 3 In A Row? -- Chris @ 9:22am
For what seems to be the third time in one week, yet another football player has died while playing the game. This time it was an indoor foortball league where the 35-year-old Curtis Jones passed away from a heart attack.

This comes after the deaths of Korey Stringer, from the Minnesota Vikings who died of a heat stroke, and as well as Rashidi Wheeler from Northwestern University died of an asthma attack.

Why is this happening? Does anyone know the answer to that one? In the last week there has been 3 football players that have died. And none of them even made it to playing the real game, in pratice the ticked... hmph

Misc: Someone Got Some Sense Knocked Into Them! -- Chris @ 12:01am
Finially! Something that seems to make sense nowadays!

Victims cannot sue gunmakers when criminals use their products illegally, California's top court ruled Monday, rejecting a suit stemming from the 1993 massacre of eight people in a skyscraper.

Wow, they used to be able to sue for that?

So... If I were to take lets say a knife and injure someone with it, could one sue the knife maker of it? If I were to take a baseball and throw it at one's head and hurt them, would they be able to sue the baseball company?

by god, anything can be deadly, who wanted to make that law? A car can be worse than a gun.

I just find that people are not thinking right anymore. All of these things are "tools" that we use, it all depends on how we, the consumer, uses these tools. A pencil can kill someone as well, anything can kill really, it's just how you use it.
