Misc: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire -- Chris @ 8:19pm
Clinton is up to making more money now for his life story.

Reported at 10 million, quite possibly the largest deal for a nonfiction work.

Huh? Wait... he is making more money for his life than he did while he was the president of the United States? Something is "wrong" here... so you're telling me that you have an interesting life, and you can write a memior about it and get 10 million for it?

So he was being paid something like 300,000 a year for being the president, so in 4 years he made more than 1,200,000 dollars. And now this 10,000,000 dollars? He is not going to have to work ever again when you think about it.

Misc: Speak Up, Let Yourself Be Known -- Chris @ 2:17pm
What do you think about the Chandra Levy thingy?

Simple, click on the link above, then just read the post, and click the "Add Reply" button at the top or the bottom. Simple as that. It's something new and cool called a "forum", people should try it. Let yourself be heard, post what you truly think about the topic there.

And if you like it that much, you can even post other stuff there by hitting the "New Topic" button... it's cool

Misc: 56 Years Ago Today... -- Chris @ 1:21pm
It was 56 years ago to this day that the United States of America dropped the first ever atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.

The blast was estimated to have killed about 140,000 people. That was the first time that any form of a nuclear weapon was used in warfare

Sci-Tec: All Hands Man Your Battle Stations - Again -- Chris @ 11:56am
You probably guessed it, but yes, there is yet another form of the "Code Red" worm going around. The name of this one is simply enough "Code Red II"

The new worm, dubbed Code Red II, moves faster than Code Red but can still be stopped by downloading a software patch for some Microsoft operating systems, security officials said Sunday.

It's about 4,000 times faster than the first one to be exact. And it is as simple as downloading a patch from M$ to protect yourself from it.

Now, if you are using Windows 95, 98 or Me, you got nothing to worry about. As for people running Microsoft Windows NT and 2000, download the patch.

Stoopid: 375 Is Your Lucky Number -- Chris @ 11:36am
No, not really. But 375 is the number of laws that are going to come into effect as of Wednesday in Arizona.

More than 375 new laws, including havens, will take effect Wednesday. Arizonans can also thank their Legislature for slightly higher phone bills in exchange for better 911 emergency service, and the permission to attend court hearings without losing their jobs and to set up Bible clubs in middle schools.

They say that the folks in Arizona will not even notice most of the laws, but others will cause a stir with some people...

Well, looks like you can no longer speed doing 120mph in your driveway without getting a possible ticket
