Stoopid: Who Figured This One Out? Show Him What He Won! -- Chris @ 11:42pm
Who the heck figured out that drivers are distracted when they are using the cell phone while driving?

Of those questioned, 64 percent considered dialing a cell phone as the top item on a list of nine situations that drivers perceive as "very distracting" in the 2001 Automotive Emerging Technologies Study.

Well okay, it was not one person that figured that out. But who made that study up? C'mon, like we did not know that already? It is been proven in recent stats that car accidents happen more when someone uses a cell phone than when someone does not. So did we need another one? I didn't.

In fact, the problem has gotten so bad that they are going to make a new feature for all cell phones - the new feature calls for air bags on all cell phones for both driving and walking.

Stoopid: Uh...Ouch? -- Chris @ 3:48pm
How did this happen? I know this had to have hurt just a tad

Thanks to FARK for the picture.

All I can say is people and nail guns don't go well together.

Entertainment: Respect The Elders? Nah, The Heck With Them -- Chris @ 11:37am
When was MTV's 20th birthday? Wednesday night. Who wrote that first song that made it all happen for MTV? Geoff Downes. Did they think to invite him to the party? Nope

That's till a real place like ABC News called them, and it was said within minutes Downes had tickets.

Wow, you see what is happening, most kids don't know the guy... "not hip" and whatnot. Then the people who used to watch MTV 20 years ago are now watching ABS News, and if ABC were to run that story and all of his fans heard that, MTV would have had a big problem.

In the ABC News article, I find this the most ammusing few lines:

But when Geoff went inside and tried to make his way to the VIP area with the rest of the stars - P. Diddy, Fred Durst and the like - he was told he didn't have credentials, and he wasn't allowed into that roped-off area.

When Downes' representatives tried to get the man the proper credentials, they were reportedly told by an MTV staffer, "Don't you think we've done enough for you guys tonight?"

Oh man, that last line must have hurt. VH1 or MTV, that is the question

Stoopid: Run That By Me Again -- Chris @ 11:23am
[ Red-headed women 'more likely to be unfaithful' ]
Uh... ok. So, women (and girls I suppose) who dye their hair red are unfaithful.

Well that just does it, when was the last time that you saw someone running around with their hair red like that? Red, bright bright red...

Moving on now...

[ Japan in love with anime movie ]
Duh... who was the smart one that figured that one out? Didn't the who anime movment thing take place in Japan, where it first stared?

Misc: AOL, AIM, Whatever -- Chris @ 12:31am
I know I can type fast, but I don't know how many people I can really take at once. Just like 2 hours ago there were about 24 people online, at one point I was in 2 chat room with a total of 14 people, then talking to another 6 people.

I have no idea how many keys I must have hit to talk to people, but it was a lot. Even right now as I am doing this, I have yet more people IMing me.

I think all of these people are going nuts since the code red virus may end the internet as we know it. So they figure they better like it while it lasts.

95% hype from people almost like me, the "media" Oh no, me too?

As for my cable modem and AOL together, they did a great job about pissing me off. I think about 7 or 8 times today, I think that's a new record if you ask me. I think I also went for a new records for amount of people I was talking to at one time. Which was almost too much if you ask me.

And then I have my email going down for a while. I first thought that I had too much and they were getting rid of the trash themselfs, but nope, it's all still there. I have even more to the collection now, about another 70 in the past few days. Not bad.
