start Apparently We're Still In Opposite Year -- Chris || Post in the forum
line.jpg
Is it me, or has all of the bad stuff been happing to all of the good people lately?

If you've noticed today, the world is shorter a few other high-profile people, such as Dave Thomas who died today from Liver cancer, and George Harrison from cancer. Not to mention the three thousand or so people that died because one person thought that they needed to die.

The one person that the world could safely be without, Osama bin Laden, has not gone caput yet, although almost the entire world is after the man. Out of all the people that could die, it's someone that actually helped people in their life, and the person that wants to kill as many Americans (or any other race for that matter) as they possibly can, still lives.

Another thing that's not quite up-to-par is this little article about John Walker and the Taliban.

Consider: With no resources beyond his own evidently rather feeble ones he was able to join the Taliban and become a confidant of the Al Qaeda network; an accomplishment completely beyond the wit or strength of our multibillion-dollar CIA, which possessed no human asset within a thousand miles of anywhere Osama bin Laden happened to be.

That's a pretty good point if I've ever seen one. They have all the equipment, money and resources that they could possibly need, yet someone, who didn't have all the fancy equipment, as they do, went right to the Taliban and simply asked them "Can I join" and they said "Sure." So, Um... what's the CIA there for then? If you'd pay one confused person such as Walker a few bucks, they'll do it for you.
