Yep, the U.S. and its allies have started to strike back.
Now, I don't know when the Taliban are going to get it through their heads, they are not just fighting the U.S., they are also fighting the rest of the civilized world. They say that we are losing the battle. To tell them the truth, I don't think the battle has started yet. Right now it's just the little things that they are being attacked. It's not troops as of yet - buildings that will blind them if gone.
I've got another question, why don't they attack us the "real way"? Why do you suppose? Maybe they lack the personnel or machines to do so? I don't think any "war ship" (if they even have such a thing) is going to be leaving the Afghanistan coast anytime soon since there are 40+ allied war ships out there right now. I don't think they'll have any good air ships either. So all they have is ground troops and people that don't care about life. So what does that all mean? They will not be able to fight off the forces in their own "land", so they'll have people that are already in the U.S. and else where attack from inside - exactly what happened on September 11th.
I feel pretty confident that they'll take them out in their own land since they don't have the technology (they want to shoot down planes, but the missiles are being launched 300 miles away). My concern right now is where in the U.S. mainland they are going to try and blow up.
"An attack on one is an attack on all". They did not just attack one nation, but they attacked all nations that belong to NATO. It's as simple as that. Think of this as more like a child. A child would think that they can be superman and go against the big boys. Talk is cheap. One person cannot go against 20. Just as one country cannot go against 20.
I'm pretty sure that I have found something that is better than AIM that you can get for free. It's known as Trillian.
It's simple on how it works, you can still use your same screen name, with the same buddy list and what not. What it really does is replace AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN messenger, ICQ, and IRC chat programs and combines them all into one nice nifty program for you to download.
I've now been using it for about half a day, and I have not had any fights with it as of yet. The only thing that I found to be hard was importing my latest buddy list that I have saved. I quickly realized that stuff that says "Help" will actually help me with that. After I opened that help file and searched for it, I found it within a minute. How nice.
The graphics are even better than AIM. The only two programs that it replaces for me is Yahoo! Messenger, and AIM. But hey, it's better since you can have one program open connected to both at the same time. And Yahoo! Messenger was giving me some problems before when I used it.
And as you know, it has begun. The counterstrike against terroism has begun, and looks like it's going to last for months, if not years.
The latest poll over there at CNN is asking if you feel that attacks are going to come again upon the U.S. as a result of the strikes. I'm pretty sure that they'll at least try to do something. The question is what and when they will strike back.
