So what does this mean? I'm sorry, but I didn't hear them say that we can drop our guard and go back to normal. So how on earth can we go to another highest state of alert if were are already supposed to be there? Maybe this just serves us as a reminder that yes, something can happen within the U.S. again.
My thinking is that they may be referring to that entire "don't go to malls on Halloween" thing that I got an email about a week or so ago. Or it could be something else, we just won't know till something happens, or someone is caught red handed.
Day in and day out now we hear about how more anthrax is found, another person is infected with it, more bombing over seas, more bodies pulled out from the wreckage of the World Trade Center, I don't see how we can just forget that we have to keep our guard.
Maybe this is just so now they can say "See, we told you that this was going to happen" that way we cannot say anything about it, that way they cannot get flamed by a Senator about how they are paid all of that money, and yet they let something as big and important as that get by them. I have that same feeling as well; how the heck can they let something like that get by them?
Don't get me wrong, I bet it is a hard job to do, but that is the only reason why those people have those jobs - to know about things like that. So in essence, they failed at the only job that they have to do. So how are they going to make up for it? Just what was done today. Now they know that they have to do their job since they now know that someone is going to be there when they mess up. They may know that something may happen, so they will say it like they did today just so we have warning, and that we cannot get mad at them for not saying a thing.
I probably have said this about three times before, but I am really getting sick of Anthrax being the ONLY thing that is ever mentioned on the news now.
It would be a different story if they did not talk about it ever chance that they could, like bring it up one time in an hour as part of their "News Brief", but I am seriously waiting for the Weather Channel to start tracking this crap.
I don't think they are helping anyone (nor am I) by doing what they are doing, which is talk about it whenever the heck they can get it out. They are probably causing more harm than good. I bet they have made some people not even touch their mail now since they think that Anthrax is everywhere. And it almost seems that way with the way that they talk about it.
As you can see, right now it appears that the people they (the terrorist) are only going for people that are of a high profile to the rest of the nation, someone famous. Pardon the pun, but I doubt that you reading this right now are President Bush, Bill Gates, and so on.
Even now looking back now on what the media did when the Twin Towers came down was not right. Take a look at what they did; on that day of September 11, how many times do you think you saw them fall? 40? 50? 60 times? Yea, that's what I thought, I bet you saw it a lot more times than you would have wanted to... I think one time is more than enough for anyone.
Even right now in the background I can hear the news on and they are again talking about something to do with Anthrax. Why can't they find something else to blog about then? To be honest, I think it's because this sells. The more people watch it, the more they can charge for advertising. I bet this may not seem right as I say this, but I think that it is more than true for many places.
