Prologue - Heart of the Cards?

PROLOGUE

Heart of the cards, huh? Bah. Garbage. I don't need luck to win. I've got skill, and that more than enough. On top of that, I've got the best deck in the world. What can people do when they've got two or even three Gate Guardians, the second most powerful monster in the game, staring them down? Nothing, that's what. I get a lot of talk from the new meat about "heart of the cards" and how their deck has never let them down. It just makes it all the more satisfying when I grind them into the dirt. That's my motto, after all. "Show no mercy, take no mercy." Words to live by.
Oh sure, I've been beaten before. I'm no stranger to loss. It's just that all my losses were a fluke. A wrong move here, dumb luck on my opponent's part, and it's game over. But is that "heart of the cards?" I think not. Oh well. Learn from it and
move on with your life. Simple as that.
