Note:A lot of free servers like Angelfire do not allow remote linking to images in email signatures.
If your server allows remote linking use your own server to store your images and or sounds.
Open Notepad.
Make an HTML document for your Email signature.
I made a bunch of self-explaining screenshots to walk you through the process.
They open in New Windows.
They start here:
- See Notepad Screenshot
- See Save As Screenshot
- See Save As 2 Screenshot
- See Outlook Express Options Screenshot
If you presently have no signature you click the "New" button.
- See Outlook Express Browse Screenshot
- See My Documents Screenshot
- See Outlook Express Browse Open Screenshot
The first signature you make will automatically be set as the "Default" signature.
- See Default Screenshot
- See Making More Signatures Screenshot
- See Setting Signatures Screenshot
Here is mine as an example to follow:
I didn't use a title in the Head tag.
I keep it saved in My Documents as Signature.html.
Here is a screenshot that explains setting up a signature:
(It opens is a new window.Maximize it to see it bigger.)
www.boomspeed.com provides 1 MB of free space for images or sounds.
Plenty of space for a few email signature files to be stored.
They allow stored images to be linked to in email signatures.
Here is an example of my signature with an image & a sound added:
![]()
Background sounds are nice but cause slow loading.
Provide a clickable link to music so people can play it if they WANT to play it.
