Now click on Start/Settings/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices.
In the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window under the Sounds Tab click on "New Mail Notification" to highlight it & click on Browse to locate a sound you want to use.
I suggest this because you will probably want to download a special sound of your own not found on your computer.
I used a Homer Simpson .wav file.
I saved it in Program Files/Plus/Themes.
Save yours anywhere you want to save it.
An easy way to save a sound file is to right click on it & choose "Save Target As".
To test this right click on Homer Message & choose "Save Target As".
After clicking on Browse, in the "Browse for New Mail Notification Sound" window, click on the sound file & it will appear in the textarea.
Click on OK.
Back in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window click on Apply & OK.
Send yourself an email to test your new sound.
Use Google Search & type in, "email sounds" to find lots of free sound files to use.
Changing The Windows XP
