Rifles
M4A1 The Colt M4A1 is part of the huge arsenal of the US Spec Ops rifles, first introduced in the Planet chapter, brought in by SEAL Team 10, the M4 can be found later with the Level 2 key card. It was a 30-round clip, laser sighter and kills most enemies with a burst-fire.
AKs-74u A.Kalashnikov-74, wide-spread rifle, shortened version, attached TAC-light, laser-sight and supressor. (Note: the one Raiden finds is non-supressed, no light either.)It Carries a 30-round clip and kills most enemies with a burst the chest, head, groin. Located in the warehouse, door needs a level 2 card. (It might be 3, i forgot lol.)
PSG-1Polecei (sp?) Sniper Gewehr-1, Heckler & Koch's amazing sniper rifle, makes a reappearance in #2. The best thing about it in this version is that fact that Raiden can use it standing up (not prone like in MGS). Carries a 7/5 clip and zoom feature (of course).
PSG-1T Same as above but fires tranqulizer ammunition.
Explosives
C4 If you've played MGS on the PSX you'll remember all the fun we all had with our C4. Placing it on the backs of unsuspecting genome soldiers and blowing them to tiny bits... Well, their back and same as always. You can plant as many as you have with square and detonate them individually with circle. I believe there damage range has been reduced though.
Claymore Mines Another weapon brought back, Claymore mines are placed on the ground as normal, when setting, gently press square to change the direction of the mine's facing (Which way you think the enemy will run into it).
Grenades
Fragmental Grenade The killing kind of grenade, your character will pull the pin out with his teeth :D, and depending on how hard you press the button, will toss the 'nade a certain distance.
Stuntation Grenade (lol)This, overall worthless (MY opinion) grenade "stuns" nearby enemies where it hits. Same options apply to the throwing part, 'cept it doesn't kill, only "knocks out" bad-guys.
Why do I hate it? Well the only good time to use it is when you got a mass of baddies on your ass, if you try to use it on 1 guard it'll make alotta noise and make MORE bad-guys show up. Being the sneaky fellow that I am, I can't risk attracting more guards.
Chaff Grenade This grenade I do like. Use this one to knock offline nearby cameras and CYPHERs (good thing on those connecting bridges). Only down side is, it will jam your nano radar as well. So if you dont know the area, don't risk it.
Launchers
Nikita Its bAaaaack, probably one of the coolest weapons from MGS returns, Works same way as before except for the fact that the missle restricts view to just the first-person view, no more nifty third-person. Use it to destroy the electric floor generators within the presidents cell thingy place. Once Raiden shoots it, he cannot move around until it explodes (because hes looking through the view-finder if your wondering, idiot.)
Stinger The stinger Missle Launcher basically has the same duty in this version as in the last one (so does the nikita) Shoot up some aircraft, blow enemies to tinys bits, etc., etc. Except this one has a better interface than that annoying lock-on in MGS. Seems like the same sound too. You can't run around while you have it equipped so be sure to be well hidden when firing.
R6A1 (something like that, shhhh, I'm looking into it.)
NOTE: Don't ask why Hideo had it emplemented into the game, but groin shots are a 1 shot kill, I suppose it would be hard to carry on minus 1 nut *shrugs*.
