Decided to join us?  Good.  We like fresh blood.

Or you at least must be baring the thought in mind, if you have come this far.

Let me explain a few things. This is the information that you need to know after you read my rules.   The little things that are asked of you that you SHOULD do, but if you don't, it's you who will pay for.  Pull up a chair and let me explain.

You need to pick someone to play off the character list.  As a rule of thumb if they have a profile then they are taken, if not then they are not taken.  We try to stay on top of this, as best we can,  but it never hurts to ask if they really are taken.  If you don't see someone that grabs your fancy, then ask if you can create someone.

Once you have picked a person, we prefer you make a Yahoo Id.  This will allow you to journey in to the past, to research the character's history in the archive posts.  Like all people, some have a lot history, like Simon Stride, others have a little, such as Meg and Polly from the Red Rat.  This is important cause you don't want to make it sound as if you are meeting someone for the first time, when it turns out you have spent the night with them. Trust me, THAT IS A VERY BAD THING AND YOU DON'T WANT TO PISS ME OFF.  If you cannot or refuse to make a Yahoo Id, the ask the Owner or a Moderator to advise you of the history of your character.  It may take them a while to get the information, but IT'S WORTH THE WAIT.

FACTS ARE FACTS. DEAL WITH IT.

While we are not a "historically accurate" game,  we do change things if we are way off.  We have adjusted some things. Such as Bradshaw and Peter's room moved to the first floor from the third cause that is what was proper for 1885.   Yet we are not about to move the Devil's Draft cause it's a far walk from Soho, or the location's of anyone's homes.  Nobody is going to call the Red Rat on the phone, though they were around as it was not common, nor are we likely to catch the next flight to Paris.

The map of London, the layout of Harley Street, and the layout of the Jekyll house are some things that fall among facts. (See miscellaneous information  for that stuff.)

The Lab Door is ALWAYS locked, never unlocked.  So NOBODY can just WANDER in the LAB.    As Dr. Jekyll has clearly told everyone that on no account must he ever be disturbed when he's working in the lab. He keeps the door securely locked and the key on him at all times. AS DOES EDWARD HYDE.  This is a FACT not optional, and the door is NEVER LEFT OPEN.

Keeps these things in mind, and a BLOODY GOODTIME WILL BE HAD BY ALL. ---
