YOU WILL PLAY BY THESE RULES!!
As I have a short attention span, I have made
only four "DOCTOR APPROVED" rules...
1) You WILL have
a good time playing this game, however you shall have to post at least once a
day to keep the flow going. If you don't reply to a game post
directed to one of your characters within 24 hours, the other players are
allowed to go on without waiting for your reply. If this is an issue, then make sure not to get
your bloody character in to the thick of things, as they just might not be able
to get out of it! Tell us if you are going to be unavailable for an extended
period. So we can play around your character and that way we know exactly where you
are and what you are doing. Make a post with **PLAN** in the title to let us all know what is going on.
2) Post anything
you want to post, consider this fair warning that we are not always good little
Victorians. We swear, get laid, and have a hell of a good time. If
you have a problem with it, be gone with ya! CONSIDER THIS YOUR
FAIR WARNING!
3) Your characters
might be "placed", but never "played". You will find us to be a nice bunch, who plan a wee bit ahead using E-mail or
**PLAN** posts. Which means you might just find your character being
"placed" somewhere for the good of the game.
For example:
Hyde and Bradshaw's players decide together that
they need to talk at some point. Hyde's player finding the perfect moment
for this, could post before Bradshaw's player, and could "place"
Bradshaw IF AND ONLY IF Bradshaw is not in any other scene at the moment. Hyde then starts the conversation. Bradshaw's player, if he had
other plans for his character will just have to deal with them being delayed but
should play the scene without a problem and zip an email off to the other player
or post a **PLAN** post expressing this. This way the players can work
together to get the scene over with, and Bradshaw can move on from it to
whatever he was going to be doing.
If this is an "ISSUE" for you, then go bloody play elsewhere. We are here to have a grand old time, and don't need to fight over stuff like that. Also, work with other the other players but DO NOT TELL THEM WHAT TO DO, as we will NEVER tell you what to do with your characters.
4) Your Characters is EXPECTED to be on the same day as all the other
characters, yet you need NOT be at the same point in time. Meaning
Bradshaw is doing his morning chores, Molly can be having her afternoon drinks,
and Mr. Utterson could be eating lunch at the same time. REMEMBER we need not
know every detail of your character's day, only the highlights you wish to
share. When the day switches, a post with no message and the date as the
subject will appear. Just try to keep pace and see to it that your scene is done
before that post! Some days move fast, other days move slow
depending on the amount of action that is occurring, but eventually the day will
change!
