Game: The Legend of Zelda
Released: 1987
System: NES
Rating: 10
Graphics: Well you can’t expect A+ graphics from a NES game…
Sound: If you’re a Zelda fan you’ll recognize them.
Concept: One of the best games ever. It was the beginning of all Zelda games.
Review: Even though this was the first Zelda game, it wasn’t the first Zelda game I played. Link’s Awakening was but that’s besides the point. I first played this when I was into Link’s Awakening and I went to my cousins house. I remember when he popped the game in and started playing it. I fell in even more love than before. He let me play it and I had a great time playing it. But now I own it and I still haven’t beaten it. Yeah laugh it up but my games always erase every time I play it. The game is your basic Zelda title but every shop are caves and bombable walls don’t make a hollow noise when hit so you have to guess. Like is Link to the Past, the shield is automatic and you can only hold one item at a time. In this game, you’ll see familiar enemies like Octoroks and Moblins and of course Ganon. Get weapons like the boomerang and bow and arrows and play eight dungeons. This is one of my favorite Zelda games and will probably overshadow the rest of your collection.
