The topic I would like to bring up is violence in video games. Parents are thinking of BOOSTING the ratings on our videogames because we are getting bad ideas. Now that is a little far fetched for example I wont walk around on the street and start shooting tigers(tomb raider2)or paint a gun gold and shoot people (007 goldeneye) that is wrong although I would never do that because I played a video game! If you have comments then E-mail me at Shadow_Stargate@hotmail.com. Remember I'll post anything regardless if you support us or not. If you want your name to be concealed in any way just include it with your e-mail.

Dl Comments:We are not going to join the army and get a tank and go blowing up stuff, like in battle tanx or trying to rip off somebody's head like in mortal kombat 1-4. My point is that we are not going to do these things, we have minds of our owns and we can make the right decisions.

J Foster :We kids should do what we want to do and play the games we want to. Parents shouldn't boss us around because parent have never played video games and they dont have any idea what we are playing. Until I see a kid play a video game and do something violent, I will never change my mind on how videogames should be rated.

S Crowle says: I only half agree with you guys. While there have been some instances where violence in vidoe games has proved as an influence for violence in real life, I don't agree that all violent video games are bad. If you are a small child, like under the age of 10, then I don't think that playing the game State of Emergency is a good idea. When children are still little, they can be influenced by violent video games. However, those who are older should know the difference between reality and fiction. If parents would be more cautious about what there children play, and if they are obeying the ratings, then there would be no problems.

Aya sez: Violence is everywhere.. you can't avoid it, so really video game violence is just telling us what is actually out there. If you really think violence is such a big deal in games.. look around you, what are those kids doing over there? Bashing there heads with bats, now isn't that violent? Violence can be useful or harmful, good or bad, just depends how you use it.
I wouldn't say violence is bad, because it prepares the mind for the up and coming. I mean look at the wars, I don't want to see people running around like a bunch of idiots screaming "Oh my god, theres blood everywhere.. ahhh help, when theres only a couple drips of blood on the floor and it was because someone hit them self a little too hard" Or people panicking when they're being attacked.. Thats really dumb.. Isn't the first rule try to stay calm or something along those lines? Keep a cool head, makes you think better. And you do notice, the ones that play these games.. they might never leave their house and do violence because they're too stuck to the gaming machine already. But if they do.. well, it might be influence outside the game. Peer pressure, ever think about that?
Parents, blame it all on the game, but what about yourself, didn't you bring this on to your child in the first place? Hmm.. consider that.. this is just my opinion.
