In an age long past when the world was flat
a band of honorable warriors joined together. To fight the oppression of
murderers and thieves these heroes traveled the lands. They brought justice to
all those who preyed on the weak and innocent.
For three hundred years the Knights of
Armageddon held high the virtues, but time had taken it's toll. The forces
of evil had brought down all but the most hearty of Knights. Many Knights
fell to the swords of the wicked, but some live on in legend. Our ranks
will always hold in high regard such names as Calinda, Timlin, and
Brightblade.
It was the guild's darkest hour when Lord
Brightblade fell. With his dying breath, as he lay broken and bleeding, he
passed on the mantle of leadership to his second in command. Our Guild
Master, T-Dan, swore to uphold the creed of the KnA.
Lord T-Dan gathered about him a group of
loyal companions to become the leaders of the organization. Gammon the
Swordsmage, Roland the Warrior, Haplo the Ranger, and Skandranon the Druid,
along with T-Dan the pirate, worked hard to rebuild the Knights of Armageddon.
The group of leaders developed a dream of
owning a true tower to house the guild. They worked hard and earned many
coins toward the dream. They endeavored to find a way to do this through
honest hard work, hunting, fishing, and selling goods. Outsiders suggested
other, less honorable, means to achieve that end but they persisted with their
efforts and built the guild fund slowly towards a tower.
After the loss of the original KnA guild
stone it was decided that a more isolated location was needed to conduct guild
affairs, so a second house was located and purchased. A new stone was
placed on the steps of this safe house, and all existing members swore
fealty. Thus was born the new Knights of Armageddon.
Years passed and the guild prospered.
With the appearance of Trammel we were fortunate to place a small tower in that
realm between Minoc and Vesper. Shortly after that we doubled our
fortune by placing an identical small tower at the same site in Felucca.
These structures became the homes for the guild.
For a long time we ran the guild as a
single organization divided between two guild stones. One stone,
placed in Trammel, accommodated those who hunted Trammel, merchants, and new
characters, while the other stayed in Felucca to accommodate those who chose to
participate in the Order wars, and later Factions.
We had built up a strong following of more than
fifty members. We held guild events such as scavenger hunts, treasure
hunts, fishing trips, dungeon crawls, and just plain social meetings. A
burgeoning organization of teams and leaders had developed over the time, each
team taking a role and working to make it interesting and fun for everyone
involved.
We carry on with this tradition to this
day. Members have come and gone. Sometimes they leave one at a time,
moving on to other callings. Other times they leave in groups, choosing to
form their own organization. Some come back to the guild. All good
people are welcome, as long as they are willing to follow the virtues and
participate. We hope to continue to bring our members a strong
organization and companionship for many years to come. |
