Race: Cat Lord, and can shapeshift to any cat form.

Based on/from: The Catlord in older D&D, and Rexfellis the Catlord in Gary Gygax's "Gord of Greyhawk" book series - with my own ideas tossed in quite a bit.
Has lived for a few centuries and has a castle full of various felines and their cousins, and two in particular: Iea the female black panther - who is actually a werepanther with mental powers, and Riss the male mountain lion. These two are his long-time friends and wards/guardians. They would willingly sacrifice their lives to save his at any time, and he knows it and appreciates it.
As a cat lord, he’s fought the Deamons and their plots for Oberoth for all of his existance, as well as finding cats and rescuing them if he can. Has seveal magical powers, most still unknown in the tavern.
Upon one of his first visits to the tavern he met Esmeralda, and shortly thereafter fell deeply in love with her. A few months followed of meetings, walks, talks, and finally intamacy. At the end of it, he asked to marry her...not knowing of events that were leading to a rather large change in their lives. It began with Kell's being away on an extended trip and her meeting Korrin, the two became friends and fell in love...Kell returned to find this, which tore at his heart, but his love for Esmeralda allowed forgiveness. She chose to stay with him, and things once again were peaceful...for a time. However, they wouldn't remain that way for long, as something was changing in Esmeralda as she was learning to use her powers.
Evil began to permeat her, warping and shifting her heart and mind until she confronted Kell and desolved their betrothal. He in turn vowed that somehow he'd find a way to return her old self...several weeks passed where he stayed from the tavern lest it lead to one of their deaths - she, however, was very busy. She went and tormented Korrin, and met another man...Universel. Esm fell to love Uni, and he, her. Eventually, her evil side lost some of it's steam, and she and Kell talked a couple times...it was during one of these that Stephan - Esmeralda's brother - re-emerged and by joining her pendant and the silver cross she'd given Kell during the first few months, as well as his own power, to cure her. Since then, they've re-betrothed, and were happy...despite bumpy parts with her and Universel's love for each other...up until the fact she was pregnant was discovered - with Uni's child. Kell was seriously tempted to let go then, but couldn't, and so far a comprimise exists.
Kell and Es have are planning on holding the wedding in the Statue's grove along with the various feline occupants of his castle for witnesses. A record of the blessed event
He gave her the panther ring as a gift: allowed her to shapeshift to a black panther, would heal 9 mortal wounds, let her return to his castle at any time, and allowed him to find her at any time if she were in trouble. In return, she gave him a magical silver cross...powers not yet determined. It was used by Stefhan to cure Esmeralda from turning evil due to her witch powers. Kell still has it.
A very deep person who loves with all of his heart, but also very powerful when angered. Has a “sweet” personality and many phrases of love ready for Esmeralda. Took her once to his thinking place - a clearing in a deep forest with a cat statue that has the ability to mentally project a story into the mind of someone should a Cat Lord grant that special privalege. When using his power, the yellow-green eyes glow - though that isn’t always true as stealth would be nullified.
For clothes, he tends to black and forest green. Also has a magical sword with golden runes that glow when it is pulled from it’s sheath, and a cloak with runes that constantly flow upon it - their colours changing from visit to visit to the tavern.
