Based on/from: Babylon 5 movie "A Call to Arms" and the series of "Crusade".
From the Babylon 5 universe, specifically �A Call to Arms� and the Crusade series. A technomage with mysterious powers that simulate magic, but are based in advanced technology.
Among them, he is young, and just beginning to learn about the universe and it�s harshness first-hand. Had a love in that universe, but she was killed in an ambush by another technomage, and been trying to live without her since. Recently met and fell in love with Alissa Darkangel, a vampire who loves to teleport and sit on people�s heads...though she appears to be a half-breed of mixed angel/demon blood. UPDATE: Alissa has fallen in love with another, and has had his child...Galen hasn't truely responded yet - though definately not happy. They've now had a few conversations, and things are still somewhat unresolved.
A couple other important people to him in the Tavern are AmonRa, a friend who he's helped several times months ago; SnoAngel, a young girl who's taken him as an adoptive uncle.
Due to working to help the human race stop the Drakh attack of Earth, he has been exiled from the main Magi enclave and has taken up helping the Excalibur find a cure for the plague before all life on Earth is destroyed.
One of the things he seeks most is knowledge, and as one of the Technomagi has access to a vast amount already. To some, he appears cool, but has a heart of caring inside. Not afraid to defend the innocent or friends unto death. Currently mourning the loss of his friend Opellia, though she might eventually return with Black^Blade...however, harbours doubts about her being the same if that does happen. Had started falling for her while still amnesiac about Alissa for 4 months. Also has a friendship with AmonRa and Charm Waters, and a few others. Hasn�t revisited the tavern in a few weeks or so.
Normal clothes consist of black robes, boots, and a 5� rune-etched staff that often is released to float just behind him. For attack and defence, he has several programs/spells shown in the tavern: "The Warrior Angels" - up to six angels armed with swords and shields that fly and attack the opponent, though they are insubstantial until just before they strike; "The Globe" - A dome or sphere of blue energy that protects those within as well as having the ability to shot bolts at the attackers, the latter weakens the structure slighlty each time; "Light Refraction Screen" - bends light around those enclosed in it, essentially making the person invisible; "Fireball" - esentially what the name implies, a sphere a handspan wide that hovers above the hand and can be hurled towards the target, filled with heat energy/fire.
Update: Due to trying to help his friend Opellia, he was turned into a vampire for a time. However, after extensive research and travel searching for a cure, he found a way to ~almost~ eradicate the virus that is vampirism. A side-effect is that whenever he now channels his power before casting a spell, his eyes glow...and their iris is a golden colour.
Due to the abrupt swings in their relationship, Galen and Alissa had several long discussions in their cabin. They've been together, usually peacefully, ever since. Though how long this will truly last is completely debatable. On the other hand, their family has grown far beyond just themselves over the last year and a half, if not longer.
The first bundle of joy to enter their lives was Lovinia. She came into their lives by floating into the lake in a bag near the Tavern. Alissa went out into the water to investigate the baby's cries and discovered the baby. She's been raised as Galen's and Alissa ever since as an adopted daughter. She is now 14-15 years old and has been granted angelic powers by her grandfather (Sephiroth).
As for Sabrial, Galen first learned about her upon meeting said daughter (already full grown) one night in the Tavern. Needless to say their meeting came as a complete shock to him, especially when she called him father for the first time. After all, he and Alissa hadn't truly had a chance to settle in for lovemaking before he'd had to return to his own universe for over a month, and then this young woman comes into his life. According to what he and his beloved have been able to conclude, the child was born out of their love bond. Almost springing from the proverbial brow of Zeus like Athena did so very long ago.
The order of birth for the other daughters and their names are as follows: Krystillial, Shaylia, Demia, Jearesey.
Jearesey and Raven's daughter, and Sabrial's son Dominic have been lost among the family so far. Further information will be forthcoming after catching up with those events that have transpired lately.
