Race: Kitsune (Japanese Fox Spirit)
Occupation: A mischevious spirit who wanders the Unformed and Earth, helping those he can.

Based on/from: Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon's "Born to Run" and "Chrome Circle".
For looks, it depends on his form...usually in the tavern he’s a James Dean look-alike with faded bluejeans, white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket with the letters “FX” stitched onto it’s left breast in golden thread. His true form is that of an 8 tailed humanoid fox - used to be 9 tails, but lost one when it was used to channel a lot of healing energy into a dying lady.
When angered, his body is surrounded by a golden aura which grows brighter the angrier he gets...at least, that’s what’s happened so far - though it might also be just a ploy to help intimidate oponents. Also, he can become insubstantial at will, is telepathic, and has a few othere abilities not revealed yet... So far, he hasn't really pulled out the mischief part of a kitsune, as he's visiting the Tavern to relax from politics and to learn new things.
Kitsune are prone to causing mischief, though they almost never intend to harm any of their targets, just have a little fun. Their society is very complex, with many levels based on the number of tails an individual has earned. They also believe in the Balance, and that should a kitsune tip it, they should be allowed to try and remedy the problem with the normal methods - misdirection, subtlety, magic, and wit. If it’s solved with enough flair, the individual can even advance in status.
