Height: 5'7"
Hair Colour: Black as a raven's feather and cut stylishly short - business type. There's a few white hairs creaping in at the temples.
Eye Colour: Crimson
Body Type: Kind of a running back style body, but with asian ancestry to add a bit of colour to the mix. Even so one almost gets the impression that his presence should be in something much larger.
Race: Can appear to be a human, or in his true form - a black dragon. He is currently 1000 years of age.
Occupation: Mistical researcher/scientist, mage, and businessman.

Personality: Controlling, demanding, arrogant, but aristocratic. These are but some of the words people have used to describe him. The only things that truely matter are his experiments and anything else that gains him something. He will lie, cheat, manipulate, and discard anyone he considers beneath him...which is pretty much everyone. However, his word is usually good to those that have gained a little respect - which isn't many.
If in human guise he tries to blend in a bit while a situation is assessed. Nothing will distract him from a goal if it is important. However, the means to that goal could change drastically if needed.
History: He is the eldest of three brothers, and deeply resents or hates them both. They've been in one fight or another for centuries, though for the last couple there's been an uneasy truce.
For the last 100 years he and Chinthliss have been fighting over the love of a beautiful Japanese kitsune woman. In the beginning Chinthliss had won her love, but over time it seemed to fail and thus Charcoal moved in. A few short years later a daughter was born, and he managed to alienate the lady a few years later. However, he still managed to raise their child as much as possible to be a weapon against his brother. For at the same time his sibling had found a human mage apprentice that became the adopted son. Charcoal was determined to kill that human to get at Chinthliss.
All did not go as he had foreseen as a couple decades later his daughter cut all ties with him to go her own way. This caused a burning rage, but there wasn't much that could be done...at least not yet.
For now he is biding his time while continuing to plan, experiment, and hate his brother along with that young mage...Tannim.
