Pets
There are 3 cats that live in the Patrick household. Only one is the family cat though. All of them are female cats. Mine is strictly outdoor. She loves being outside and that is where she has always been. I think that she has spent one night in the house and that was when it was freezing cold there. I'm talking about temperature around 12F. That's cold for New Orleans, Louisiana. Her name is Aphroditie and she is a calico cat. She is about 8 years old. She is the only cat that we've had since the day that she was born. I have a lot of memories about her and a lot of good times with her. She loves tummy rubs, but hates strangers. There are only 3 people that I know of that she will actually walk up to: Me, Jamie, and dad (but only when I'm not around). Anyone else, she takes off when you get within seven feet of her. Yes, she still has her claws and she does knead into the body when she is getting petted or rubbed the right way by me.
Aphroditie
Wickett is the family cat. We've had her since she was about 6 weeks old. She is a Himalayan cat. I believe that she is a blue point (whatever that means). She is a pretty stubborn cat too. She hasn't learned that I'm going to chase her around the house if I feel like it. She has grey feet, tail, ears and face. The rest of her body is white. She is a mother to about 8 cats. She was neutered after her second litter. She has been declawed cuz mom wanted her to be an indoor cat. Now, she's mostly indoor, but she likes to go outdoors. I don't know if her and Aphroditie have met, but if those two were to get into a fight, Aphroditie would win hands down. I've already told my mom that, but she doesn't think that they would get into a fight. She's a really pretty cat. Not as pretty as Aphroditie, but she's pretty.
Wicket
The last cat that we have is Alexis. Mom got this cat from someone in her office. Alexis was the owner of Amy, an employee in the same office that my mom works at. Amy has moved in with someone and is not allowed to have the cat, so she asked my mom to take care of it for her. My mom agreed and brought Alexis home.
Alexis is a white cat with a long tail. That is all that I know about her. When I find out more, I'll put it on here.
Well, that's all of the pets that we have. I don't think that we will get any more any time soon. I can't have one here on the base. That is why Aphroditie has to stay at home in New Olreans.
