Dedication to My Doggie, Reginald Belt

This page is in dedication for my friend Reginald Belt, who died on December 17, 1998. He died by an accidental gunshot... he was playing with a 9mm handgun when it went off.

Reginald was born July 13, 1985. At the time, he was attending Morgan Road Middle School as an eighth grader before his untimely death. I'm pretty sure he was popular, being the fact that he was a pretty sweet, funny guy.

I miss him alot sometimes. I can only pray that he is in heaven with Jesus. Reggie and I met at one of my friend's friend's house. He didn't even talk to me that day. When I left, I didn't give a second thought to him. But soon enough, he got my number from my friend, and we began talking. Just about all summer we talked... and it was fun! We'd argue and be silly and just get to know each other.

I think I can honestly say that Reginald was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. We used to say that he was my doggy. He wrote me a letter and told me he loved me, but... selfish and inconsiderate as I was, I never told him it back. So... Reginald, wherever you are, I love you!!

Let this be a lesson to yall folks:: say you have a crush you've never admitted to, or a friend you haven't talked to in a while because of an argument... TALK to them. Tell them you care about them. Because time is oh-so precious. You never know what is in God's plan. You don't ever want to have regrets... it's definitely not a good feeling.

Peace and Love
