Doomsday Zone has only 1 act! As you know, only Super or Hyper Sonic can go to this stage. Knuckles and Tails can¡¯t enter even if they¡¯re hyper or super. Super/Hyper Sonic can¡¯t be killed by the rocks or the missiles in the stage ---- they only slow you down knowing that once your rings reach zero, you die. Anyway, once you reach the first boss, it would be rather tough if you don¡¯t know the trick. I had to think for a long time before figuring out how to defeat the boss! Anyway, here it is. This is the first boss.
The boss shoots three missiles from a compartment at the bottom. These missiles are homing missiles, meaning that they follow you wherever you go!
The boss is forever shooting small bullets that are very irritating at times too!
To hit the boss, you have to fight fire with fire! Destroy him with its own weapons: its homing missiles. Guide the missiles (remember that they are always following you about) and aim for the head (the silver part). Here¡¯s my trick. First, I charge up right to the front (keep pressing forward or ¡®right¡¯ and the attack button) and wait for its missiles to launch, dodging the small bullets as I move around. As the missiles launch, move up to where Sonic is now on the first picture and try to guide the missiles to hit the head. If the missiles miss, you may want to go to the back of the boss, charge to the front, move up and try to get the missiles to hit the head again. Remember: you can¡¯t hit the boss with you¡¯re super sonic powers!
After destroying it, it would crumble to the ground and the internal part would zoom out!
The next boss is easy to kill. The stage would just continue as you collect rings just like the beginning part. However, you can decide when to attack. To meet the boss, just keeping charging forward till you see him. You can hit the boss by ramming into him. Every time you hit him, you would be flung backwards again. To attack again, just charge forward again. This boss doesn¡¯t shoot much. All it shoots is just fat missiles or air mines. The fat missiles shoot up while the air mines shoot down so you can aim at the middle.
