General & Special Moves

This is my Sonic 3&Knuckles general and special moves, crates and uses page.

Most common, jump or spin ball-----Sonic, Tails, Knuckles.

By pressing the attack button, your character would jump. Jumping on enemies means killing them.

My most favourate move, slow spin dash ------Sonic, Tails, Knuckles.

Run foward and press and hold down. Your character would roll into a spin ball. Usage: Run towards an enemy, when close, press and hold down. POOF! The enemy dies!

Spin dash ------ Sonic, Knuckles , Tails.

The spin dash can be done by pressing down and pressing and holding the attack button. The longer you hold, the more powerful the spin dash. Mostly used in attacking enemies and going up high places.

Fly or doggy paddle------Tails only.

Press the attack button repeatedly and Tails would fly or doggy paddle when in water for a certain amount of time before he get tired and fall. In the open (that means not in water), Tails can whack enemies with his tail. If you miss, you would get hit and lose your rings.

Glide--------Knuckles only

By pressing the attack button, Knuckles would jump. Press and hold the attack button again while Knuckles is in the air and he would glide smoothly through the air. You can hit enemies with the claws of Knuckles' fist while he is gliding.

Climb-----Knuckles only.

Glide into a wall and you can hang on to it. Press the up or down buttons and Knuckles would climb up or down the wall!

Rotating cyclone------Sonic only.

By pressing the attack button, Sonic would jump. Press the attack button again and Sonic would do the rotating cyclone move. This can rebound enemy fire. (You may go through it sometimes) This move is especialy good in attacking guarded badniks. Example, if the badnik has spike all over him, using this move skilfully would allow you to whack the badnik without you getting hurt!

Team work------Sonic and Tails.

Using the second player control, control Tails and make him fly. Then, use Sonic and jump into Tails while he is flying. Tails would then carry Sonic and bring him to places which he cannot reach! Note that Tails cannot carry Sonic underwater.

Cool move: Revving Spin Dash ---------- Sonic, Tails, Knuckles

This can be accomplished by pressing and holding down, then keep hitting the attack button. There would be a revving effect although there is no difference in speed or in the distance travelled by the spin dash. This move was formally found by my cousins, Joshua and Ivan. I did not put it down but Llewellyn Chong e-mailed me and told me to put it down. So here it is anyway.

Crates & Uses

All barriers are able to rebound enemy fire, except for certain types of fire power Eg. missiles in Death Egg Zone.

Aqua barrier/shield----------Allows all charaters to breathe normaly under water. Sonic uses are more lucky. When the attack button is pressed twice, Sonic would immediately fall sharply and rebound upwards higher than the normal jump. Best used to attack badniks by rapidly pressing the attack button and the directional buttons. Sonic will keep jumping up and down in a spin ball.

Lightning barrier/shield---------1.Allows character to move through electricity safely.2.Allows rings to be attracted to the character. When the attack button is pressed twice, Sonic can do a double jump with the lightning shield.

Flame barrier/shield----------Allows character to pass through fire easily. Especially useful in Lava Reef zone. When the attack button is pressed twice, Sonic would first jump and charge forward in a rushing fire attack.

Invincibility shield--------Allows character to be invincible. Lasts for only a period of time.

10 rings crate------Gives the character 10 rings.

Life crate------Gives the character one more chance/1-up/life. Face on crate varies on the character you use.

Robotnik crate---------Makes the character lose all his rings if he has any or die if he doesn't has any rings.
