Verse 1
********
"It was with . . .
silent song
that the warrior
walked his path
through life
to plant and grow
to cut and prune
to be a friend
but also a fearsome
enemy to some.
|
Verse 2
********
It was without
a sound
as he passed
in this forest
called life
for not to disturb
accomplished
two things,
first he lived
in harmony
with nature
and second
his enemies
would not know
he had passed
amongst them.
|
Verse 3
********
So silently
as we also pass
as shadows
in the sun
of this day
it is the same
to live in harmony
one with the other,
and to not let
our enemies
know we are here.
|
Verse 4
********
Allow this warrior
his silent song
in his walk
through life
to sing his song
and leave his mark
however small
so some day
his children only
will know he passed
this way and they too
will know of him.
|
Verse 5
********
Gone now the warrior
to other forests
and fields to hunt
and live and plant,
but always will remain
that he did pass this way
unnoticed by some
but others who
knew him well
knew also how much
he cared for them.
|
Verse 6
********
So while we seek
his mark to find
only the diligent
may know and learn
it was not his mark
but it was his Father's
whose path he walked
and when he leaned
to fix a broken limb
it was then that
he the warrior
like all who've gone before
and those who came after
have then felt, and only then
the Master's touch on them. . ."
