I've wandered the Warriors Path
from deep within Southern swamps
to the Northern end in Canada
trying to remember my past
or parts I've heard and seen
in lore and dreams.

I've wandered the desert hot
in the day and cold at night
even known each water hole
and place of peace and war
in both my mind and spirit
to feel of something known.

Verse 3

When I was young I couldn't
wouldn't believe what I saw
we weren't that way the Elders
taught us many things beyond
the waters and the falls
so I knew what I felt was true.

Verse 4

So when I wander away just now
in thought and seem beyond
your sight and hearing
is it because I'm dreaming
or better remembering of the past.

Verse 5

I was taught of the moon and sky
of the winds and rains and cold
I was instructed in the seasons
and of the skills known to warriors
alone I was taught to be above
but even the poor and broken to love.

Verse 6

Are these dreams or memories
I'm speaking of in my wandering
of the Warriors Path or desert now
when my mind slips past the boundaries
where are found the restraints of man
and enters into the realm of God?
