Verse 1

Lonely as I walk the beach
the sand in my feet stays
and the silence of the night
only broken by the crest of the waves.

Verse 2

The shoreline long and unbroken
extends ahead for mile to go
while the waves upon the shore
give it different definition always.

Verse 3

Thus as I think and ponder today
my thought deep and wondrous
only the cresting of the waves
breaking into the silence of my way.
