As it happens one day a year
we express our love to another
the things we read require a tear
a note from a sister or brother.

This year it is on the Sabbath day
the day we send out hearts and a kiss
the world calls it Valentine's day
but are you in trouble if you miss.

I've often wondered how many send
a card to Heavenly Father on this day
or call or pray or anything to this end
shouldn't we do this for Him everyday?

Verse 4

So each day when I arise I kneel to pray
"I love thee Heavenly Father I hope you see
these are not idle words by my actions today
my obedience to your commandments I'll be."

Verse 5

For so it has been written, "If you love me,
keep my commandments." we can all read.
Our actions speak for what we really will be
and maybe this idea will plant a new seed.

Verse 6

That everyday will be a Valentine from us
to thee Heavenly Father, now far above
and you will know by our actions thus
whether we are pretending or really you love.
