Gig! Gig! Gig!
Mood:  party time!
Well tonight was really great! I went to a gig at a bar called the rockers and well got to sing with a well known punk band 4 past midnight. Pretty cool singing with someone elses band. Anyway I can't go to clubs as it is without being swamped. I got accosted in the toilet by a group of girls requesting hugs and kisses and my autograph hahaha! It was totally cool! I love when people appreciate what you're doing - that makes all the hard work worthwhile. So anyway they asked me to sing on their song which I didn't want to at first but the energy of the crowd got me going and I jumped into the moshpit with the mic and stood around as people surrounded me clawing at my legs and shaking my hand. Ha it was really fun. Great crowd and great atmoshpere though I got too drunk (as usual) but hey I had ten jack and cokes. I ended the night by puking all over the bathroom and almost getting run over while grabbing a cab.

Gabba gabba hey!
Mood:  irritated
System of a down - Marmalade
Well it's been an alright day I guess - I got a call from my bands second guitarist (the first being me!) - rehearsal on tuesday - yeeaaah! I love rehearsing! Well I've written some more songs too - three new ones in the last few weeks. The issues I've tackled have been war, the media and how love can fucking tear you apart! Well good varied mix but the last song was very painful to write. The band is doing well and we will most certainly be gigging soon. Rehearsal last week was mayhem as usual. Some other band jumped in early leaving us to sit and wait god dammit! We had to just let them go in early as the people who run the place had made a mistake so I guess the band werent to blame. After winning a few games of pool we finally went upstairs and totally rocked out! Did a few covers including the clash "I fought the law", the misfits "last caress" and green day "boulevard of broken dreams". We almost suffocated in the well sound proofed rooms which didn't even have any ventilation so my throat suffered the next day. The air in the room was moist! I'm thinking of doing another project at the moment so I'm meeting with a new guitarist to discuss a very very experimental band. I'm thinking of mixing punk, metal, jazz, classical and basically anything else I can throw in to make a new sound. I just don't feel challenged at the moment, it's like my band members want to be the sex pistols but come on it's 2005 and they made waves back then but they were pretty basic and too simple for today. They're a good band but I don't want to follow that formula. I want to break down walls and have a band that will draw in a diverse crowd. I want to see punks, metalheads, goths and all the freaks like me united as one. Fuck the fakes they're not welcome hahaha! Anyway I better stop typing now - I feel a rant coming on! I will be updating regularly - ie whenever I'm pissed/pissed off or just wanting to share a new idea!
