The Huskies have been my favorite team since the days of Donnel Marshal and I became an avid fan during Ray Allen's time spent with Connecticut. Who could forget the Big East Final when he faced of against Allen Iverson. Going right down to the last seconds with Ray Allen hitting the game winning shot

The Men's Team has been in a bit of a slump since winning their last title in 1999 over Duke, but after this season it seems that that slump is over. Emeka Okafor won tied for Player of the Year Honors and Ben Gordan averaged over 20 points in this years tournament. All of this reached it climax as Uconn went on to defeat Georgia Tech for the title.

Never before had a Men's and Women's team from the same school win the NCAA College Basketball Championship in the same year untill now. The Lady Huskies have built quite a dynasty with countless trophies, this year was no different. I can't wait for next year to see if these teams can repeat the phenomenon.
