To trully be open minded one must be able to reach an understanding of all events that are past the perameters that they have set for themselves as far as what is acceptable or not. Every event is an action that sets off a chain of reactions. You must be able to accept the initial reaction and all the consequent reactions on an even level. To be trully open minded all events or pysical things must be seen on an even playing feild. You must be able to see all reactions coming and understand why they are the way they are without judgement of them. Being able to sort out the reactions or control the initial action so that the reactions are within your concept of norm is key. Remember its the things that we can't understand that challenge us. You can smell and touch sound if you choose although neither have pysical properties. Its the opening of the mind that allowes us this freedom but it takes intense training of your inner self to open that door.
