Session One:
Count Saul’s Beltane party. Spike, a wolf pooka, is introduced… he promptly has sex with several characters, including redcap Grimjaw’s ward. Spike and Stroud duel, first by shooting apples off of each other’s heads and second by getting piss-drunk and seeing who Saul finds more amusing. Saul is more amused by Spike, who thinks that he’s the sun, than by Stroud, who turns into a teapot. Stroud is beset by bad dreams involving spires of ice and which result in him sprouting loon wings. Stroud’s ward crafts a Glamour trap involving part of Stroud’s dream… Stroud’s friend goes into a coma. Spike and Stroud are sent out to speak to the Seal King, who gives them a sealskin as a banner of truce. On their way through the woods, Spike and Stroud are attacked by winter wolves. The wolves kill one of their elven mounts and injure the other. Spike and Stroud send the injured mount back to Count Saul’s freehold to summon help. Spike’s great loathing for Stroud came into being with his running off to be with his horse as soon as a wolf latched onto Spike’s neck.
Player’s Note: I can’t vouch for any of the information in the description of the first session, because I wasn’t there and this is just things that I remember being told.
