Workshop "Art of Healing" with and Lucia Capacchione author of Picture of Health

Lisa Brow will be holding the “Art of Healing” workshop, which is based on her studies with Lucia Capacchione, author of “Picture of Health” and “Recovery of Your Inner Child”. This is a full 3 hour experience in which you will journey through your body while searching within for your own healing power.

Using Lucia Capacchione’s unique Journaling and Drawing Techniques, with visualization and movement, will help you relax and touch your creative juices. You will become aware of what your body needs to get better and how art can help you find your true inner feelings.

No experience is necessary to attend. During class you will draw, write, collage and paint while letting the stress of everyday work fade away and allowing yourself to become aware the beauty, solitude and tranquility that art can help you find.

This workshop is dedicated to Lucia and her extraordinary books and was conceived by Lisa Brown.  It will be held at Pathways (the Connections) in 79 Maple Street, Summit and all proceeds will be donated to Pathways. For information call 908-753-0190.

This class is not about making final products; it’s about the process of doing art. You sometimes will be asked to use your non-dominant hand to draw; this will put all of us on the same drawing level. So loosen up on yourself and think., “I will just let go and have fun”.

This workshop is part of the “Partners in Nature” exhibition of the collages and watercolors by Lisa Brown and the oils and watercolors by Fermin Martinez, which will be on display at the Watchung Arts Center, May 3 – 27^th.
