The Ultimate in Classical Sounds
Mario Lombardo and Oscar Petty
Coming to The Watchung Arts Center

Mario Lombardo is a child prodigy, playing piano since the age of nine and composing since the age of sixteen. Numerous orchestras throughout the United States and Europe have performed his music. His symphonic tale for children Drakestail enjoyed international success. The Orchestra of St. Peter premiered several of his orchestral works by the Sea. Mario Lombardo was named "musician of the year" by the New Jersey State Conference of Musicians in 1994.

Oscar Petty, a brilliant oboist has earned his degree from Montclair State University and his Master’s from Rutgers where he studied under Marsha Heller. Oscar is a brilliant, outstanding and captivating oboist. His musical activities have taken him around the world. He has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the New Jersey Mozart festival just to name a few. Oscar produces a gorgeous clear fluent sound on the oboe. As well as being a fine musician, Oscar Petty is on the faulty of the Arts High School in Newark.

Oscar Petty and Mario Lomardo have performed together with outstanding results. Mario Lombardo’s compositions seem to have Oscar in mind. They bring a sound that tugs at the heartstrings, is sentimental and smooth. With all this in mind you can imagine how pleasant an afternoon of Mario Lombardo and Oscar Petty will be.
