Sangschule - the West Lothian Traditional Song Group
	Programme for August to December 2025
	We meet in the Drama Unit, Linlithgow Academy, Braehead Road, Linlithgow EH49 6EH. We use either the Drama Studio or the adjacent classroom (A28), and there are signs to guide you to the right place. Full details and maps on our Home Page. We meet from 7.10 pm to 9.10 pm. (Long story short - it's because of train times!) Fees: Sessions with guest tutor: £10 Sessions led by group members: £5 Annual membership (individual): £12 Annual membership (family): £20 For people coming along for the first time, that session will be free.

Wed 20th Aug 2025	Welcome back! We start our new term with the first of three sessions from the always-busy Jo Miller! A wee reminder for those who haven't been before that we certainly don't have auditions, that we will provide the words, and that everyone is welcome, whatever their level of confidence in their singing ability.
Wed 27th Aug 2025	We welcome back Jo Miller for a tutor session.
Wed 3rd Sept 2025	Jo Miller, with her last session for a while.
Wed 10th Sept 2025	Non-tutor night - songs on the theme of pounds, shillings and pence. Other currencies also acceptable!
Wed 17th Sept 2025	Non-tutor night – bring along (or find in our Sangschule songbook) songs of late summer and autumn. We will also do a bit of planning for our participation in the 'Joy and Light' charity concert in December.
Wed 24th Sept 2025	We welcome Stirling-based folk-singer and songwriter Bill Adair to share songs with us.
Wed 1st Oct 2025	Non-tutor night. Our theme 'Songs of water - lochs, rivers and seas.'
Wed 8th October 2025	We're delighted to welcome back Bill Adair for a second evening.
Wed 15th Oct 2025	We welcome back Scott Gardiner with more great songs.
Wed 22nd Oct 2025	CHANGE OF PLAN - SORRY, NO SANGSCHULE TONIGHT. There is a big event on in the school which may increase parking and access difficulties.
Wed 29th Oct 2025	Change of arrangements for this session - as our tutor, Scott Gardiner, is not well, we'll bring forward the following week's activities; our theme will be 'colours', and we'll also spend some of the session developing our songs for the 'Joy and Light' concert in December. This Christmas concert, in Dunblane, brings together a selection of community choirs and singing groups to raise money for charity. This year it's on 10th December. Even if you can't be at the concert, there's something very satisfying about working up some songs to performance level. If you can't make every session where we hope to practise, don't worry - the songs are not too complicated, and there's safety in numbers!

Wed 3rd December 2025	Our final rehearsal for the 'Joy and Light' concert.
Wed 10th Dec 2025	Sangschule will be at the 'Joy and Light' concert in Dunblane. (No meeting in the Academy, but you will probably have guessed that!)
Fri 17th Dec 2025	Sangschule's Christmas Party; members - keep an eye on your emails for further details!
