Part THREE
Page three shows a variety of atmospheric goodies, including some of the most stunning clouds I have ever seen!
Another beautiful sunset in the Poconos......
..... and following a frontal system, the sun is going down here past some thin clouds right at the horizon, casting a beautiful orange glow on the back side of the front. This was taken facing Northeast.
Several hours after leaving beautiful Quebec, I was amazed to see some of the most fascinating clouds I have ever encountered! The following three images were all "captured" over Albany, New York, on the evening of August 29, and were enjoyed by all who were looking skyward that day! This is the first in the series - which only got more incredible as I drove closer under it, as the following pictures will show!
The only words I can use to describe this is STUNNING!! These vividly-undulating clouds were commanding the attention of all who were outside during this event! I saw these as I was heading South on I-87.
I snapped this one out my window right from the freeway! This awesome display was taken only a few minutes after the one before it (above), and this pattern repeated itself across the sky, but the display was soon obscured by rain, as I continued South of Albany.
Some totally wonderful clouds were also seen at camp this summer, and this amazing wall cloud was seen over Camelback Mtn, across from the nature center. This was a fast-moving wall cloud ahead of a rather weak storm, and there was no rotation in this.
A beautiful break in the clouds!
This will open a small Website showing this in better detail, and from there you'll be easily returned to this page!
