Part TWO
Page two features one particular storm. Oh-so vivid and beautiful..... and what's more, it produced a small funnel cloud that passed directly overhead, and will be seen further down the page! Over all, this one shifted and changed shape minute by minute, and produced some incredible "eye candy"!
Not much rain or wind with this one......
..... but was strong once the rain started to fall! Only a few drops actually.... but was quick to pass, and it was this storm that prompted me to create this Web page!
Amazingly, as I was standing there watching this one, a tiny funnel cloud quickly develops! It can be seen here near the center of the picture, just above the trees.
As I watched, this weak funnel (seen here near the top of the picture) barely held itself together as it came directly toward me, out of the Northwest.
Amazingly, this funnel passes directly overhead! I took this picture looking straight up at the bottom of it, and in case you're wondering..... there was absolutely no sound...... or no wind! (Update - November 2008. If you want to experience a small tornado WITH a little "sound and wind", check out this cool VIDEO! This was seen in Florida as I was filming a storm on November 30, 2008. Just when I started thinking there'd be no more incredible weather events this year..... this one hit by surprise!).
To finish page two, here's another beautiful evening storm, approaching ahead of the setting sun. This one brought some light rain, a few gusty winds, and several hours later, a cold front.
