A cabin in the woods......
........ is my favorite place to be, with the noise of the city far behind, and my main focus directed upon the person (or people) I am with, enjoying nature - and them - in a setting where there's nobody pounding on the door, a ringing phone, or anything else to disturb the peacefulness of time spent on the porch swing, or at the fishing pond or riverbank........ enjoying perfect "together time" with a perfect balance of nature and fellowship. I guess in all reality....... I'm just an "old fashioned" type of guy, that doesn't like all the distractions of life all the time, and likes to "escape" to nature once in awhile. Life has it's "noisy moments" which are great fun to be a part of, but I like the quiet times most of all.
Sharing Nature with others
One of my greatest passions is to gently draw others into the beautiful and wonderful realm of God's Creation, and to listen to the sounds, nibble a leaf or two, flip a rock or an old board to see what may be hiding under there, and to simply enjoy the simple yet profound wonders one experiences each step along a woodland trail, along a stream, or thru an old field..... and in some occasions, that "still small voice" of the Creator can still be heard!
"MY kind of friend"
I totally enjoy those who like being with ME- plain and simple! I enjoy being with those of a gentle soul, full of compassion and forgiveness. This is the way Jesus loves me......... and this is the way I try and love others.
In short, I'm a happy long haired guy - who is not afraid to pick up a snake, step into a pond to capture a photograph of a cool-looking frog, or grab a turtle off the road, or rescue baby Raccoons from someone's chimney, and raise them as my own "kids", and bonding with them, and rescuing live baby Possums from the pouch of the mother that was struck by a car the night before...... and the list goes on!
In reality it's nice to share like-minded interests with my closest friends..... but some of the people I'm the CLOSEST to don't even own a pet, a fishing pole, a tent, or hiking shoes!
If you're wanting a friend like me , and are not ashamed of Jesus in this cold and distant generation, and have lots of warm HUGS to give away........ then here I am!

LONG HAIR
I have always LIKED it, and I have always HAD it. Sure I have been verbally "slammed" by those who think "ALL guys should sport a buzz-cut" for this reason or that, but mine is long because for one, that's simply the way I LIKE myself, and secondly, I don't want to appear to be "like the REST"......... since I'm NOT like the rest! I'm a rather unique individual and I'm not at all a "crowd-follower", and rather than "blend in" with the crowd............ I'd rather "blend in" with nature - into "the hills from whence cometh my help", where the LORD is, and where He speaks to me. I LIKE my "natural" self........ and DEARLY LOVE OTHERS WHO ARE LIKE-MINDED IN THIS AREA!! Those who like me as I AM are the most highly treasured by me - because they like the real ME - the part of me that God likes (God doesn't create "robots", but uses regular ordinary people, and He does extraordinary things thru them!). I LIKE who I am, as I seek to please God.......... and I try to be a friend to those who really NEED and WANT me!

........ I love BEST those who have reached past all the "outer stuff" about me........ and into the real part of me that's lonely......... and needs a friend! The very best I can give anybody is Jesus!
