Very Cute Christmas Cards

Thanks to Jennifer C. who sent a link to a series of very cute (and not too long) Christmas Cards. These can be viewed personally or sent to others -- all are adorable.

Christmas Graphics

Here's a couple of pictures from my friend, Chuck Bobo. One is funny and the other is just plain cute to use in web pages -- well, maybe both of them are.

Take the Christmas Quiz

How well do you know Christmas? Take this quiz and find out (thanks to Craig M. for this link). You can also see how you rank among other quiz-takers. I grew up with a wonderful mother who was almost fanatical about celebrating Christmas. It was an amazing time of year for my brothers, sisters and me. I will always be glad for Santa Claus, lights, music and the fun things that go with Christmas.

In fact, when people ask me what my favorite kind of music is, I usually answer, "Christmas music!" (Needless to say, I made a perfect score on this test -- it helped that my sister lived in Chile for over a year.)

Mouser Game

This maze game is sooo cute and easy to play (at first). Just place your cursor over the button and a maze lights up. Move the cursor through the maze to guide the mouse home (no need to hold down a button). Don't touch the sides of the maze. It starts out very easy, then gradually gets harder -- another addictive game!

Merry Christmas - the Debate

I prefer to use the phrase, Merry Christmas, and I hate to see use of this die out. On the other hand, I am not going to get raving mad enough to boycott someone who prefers to use Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings.

I am happy for places that still say Merry Christmas because that is my belief, but I don't think President Bush sending out a Happy Holidays card should be criticized so much.

For most of us around here, Jesus is the "Reason for the Season." I think nobody should be offended if anyone chooses to say Merry Christmas, either. On the other hand, I was so happy to hear that Target changed its mind on using only Season's Greetings and went back to Merry Christmas. Can't we all figure out ways to get along?

The Chronicles of Narnia

We saw this movie on opening day (today). As we came in, we saw several school buses taking children home from an early showing. I wish going to the movies was considered a good field trip when I was in school!

We got in line to buy tickets and guess who was just in front of us -- our son-in-law! We were pleasantly shocked and laughed over it all. (His wife, my daughter, was at work, so he was alone.) We sat together and all enjoyed the movie.

Was it a good movie? Yes, although I enjoyed it more than my husband who looked at his watch a few times (he didn't look at it ONCE in Aeon Flux). This movie is getting great reviews -- top-quality Academy-award winning acting here, excellent plot and fantastic special effects. I loved the evil White Witch. She was one tough lady and fun to hate. My husband thought events moved along kind of slowly, but he had never read the books (I read them twice). I recommend this -- children will like it too, I think.

Fun Program for iTunes Owners

This is GREAT if you own iTunes. This site will create a signature of your most popular, highest-rated, newly-added or most recently played iTunes songs. I love it.

Check out my VERY eclectic mix --> My Music Signature. Maybe you can recognize a song or two. Some of the songs came from GarageBand.com.
