What to wear...
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Everyday life
Kids these days seem to be much braver and diverse than we were when we were at 14-15. These days you might meet a girl in sweat pants walking side by side with a girl in four inch heels and and a mini skirt. Back in day, you were weird if you wore anything other than jeans and the right brand sweater. I don't think we would have been allowed to wear half the stuff they're wearing to school now, but they actually seem more confident than we were or am I wrong?

Happy angry people?
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Everyday life

I have to say, this is one happy group of angry people. I think the photographer must have forgotten what he was doing and accidentally asked them to smile...

Where have all the tv-doctors gone?
Mood:  mischievious
Now Playing: Bonnie Tyler - Hero
Topic: Tv
I went with my friend F to the big hospital today, and as usual I went home disappointed. No Joel, Lukas or Travis in sight. If there were, the visits to the doctor might be bearable, but as it is now... All I get is an old Finnish man or an old Norweigan man or some other old man that doesn't even bother to find out what's wrong with you. Not even someone amusing like Dr. House. Damn you, non-tv-doctors!

Power shopping
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Everyday life
I only had about 30 minutes to shop, but I still did pretty good. I managed to go through the entire second floor. I still need pants, shoes and a jacket of some sort, but I did managed to get hold of some old hang ups.
I might as well just get it while I'm still in a shopping mood ;)

Healthy Americans?
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: Oprah
Topic: Tv
Once again I got stuck watching Oprah. Today they were discussing food, and healthy food for teenagers/kids. Apparently, 80 % of American schools (we're talking 12 years old here) have vending machines. I don't know what it's like nowadays, but back in the day we weren't even allowed to bring chips or soda or candy to school. And when the physician suggested that peanutbutter and jelly (on white bread of course) or pretzels were good lunch options, I just wanted to hit the little man in the tv (I have an anger problem, I know) ...and when he suggested that the kids, if they didn't want to eat their apple au naturel, could dip it in peanutbutter I just had to turn off the tv!

Friday
Mood:  happy
Topic: Everyday life
A typical Friday (even though it's actually Thursday). I helped my aunts out @ grandma's. Long over due. Sorry grans! Then a lunch with sweet F, and a walk around town. We ended up at the playground where I sat down with some friends and enjoyed the sun shine (yes, they had kids with them, we're not complete weirdos!) Then I went home and enjoyed some trashy magazines.

April Fool's?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Tv
I'm starting to understand why no one cares about politics any more, at least not here in Sweden. I ended up watching a live broadcast from a debate today, and there's absolutely no action!! There's a guy with a lisp talking and the rest of the room talking among themselves or just doodling on a piece of paper. The most amusing thing all day was a guy called Anti...and he was actually for the suggestion, not against it. The topic in itself was interesting though, and kinda important. They were supposed to vote on gay marriages (when they were done doodling, they passed the law...bill...thingy).

Where are all the girls?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Tv
I watched a tv-show where comedians compete against each other tonight and as usual the girls were much funnier. They have a wider range. The male comedians here in Sweden are old and tired and most of then have been doing the same jokes all their lives. But still the men get all the attention, and the title as Sweden's second sexiest (the no. one spot is always taken by an old rude outdated fancy actor). Why aren't the girls on the sexiest lists? Female comedians just aren't that sexy? Why don't they get even half the attention the men get? Why aren't there more female comedians on Swedish tv??

Do'h!
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: Everyday life

It 's lovely to be back home. Really. I got picked up at 5.30 this morning just because someone didn't want to do his duties. And he didn't do them today either. He mostly sat there, drinking coffee or talking to people. When I actually asked for help, he told me he had to finish his conversation first. I was glad I had an excuse to get away for a while at least, to go and see my dear C for coffee, before I went back to complete chaos again. I'm sorry if I wasn't that much fun, hun.

He asked me if I could be there tomorrow as well, because he wanted to go ice fishing. Again. I told him to go...do things to himself.

Lentil this
Mood:  happy
Topic: On tour

My stomach's really fed up with lentils by now. I couldn't even have breakfast this morning. Even though there were two entire rooms filled with just breakfast foods. Instead we went to more meetings, but at least I didn't sleep my way throught it as some did, hehe. And apparently some people were so sick from the food last night that they'd gone home.

When it was time for lunch, they didn't have any food for me. Even though the caterers have a veggie-ish café. But they suggested that I'd eat the...ta-daa, lentils on the plate and leave the rest. Instead we decided to hit Burger King on the way home. We ate, made a stop at the mall (B slept in the car in the parking garage) and stopped for some candy. Halfway home it started to snow, which probably fit our moods pretty good.
