Georgian international striker Shota was signed from Ajax for just under £2million last season and has a phenomenal goalscoring record with Rangers.
Arveladze arrived with a wealth of experience playing for clubs such as Dynamo
Tblisi, Trabzonspor and Ajax as well as boasting the impressive title of finishing top scorer at each.
Whilst playing in Turkey he was also awarded the most valuable foreign player, fending off competition from
Hagi, Popescu and Illie.
The fact that he has bagged 211 goals in 297 league appearances over his ten year career proves that he is a very clever inside the box and able to take advantage of any situation.
Arveladze is a regular in the Georgian National side and will look forward to facing his team mates Georgi Nemsadze and Zurab Khizanishvili when the Light Blues take on the Dark Blues of Dundee.
He bagged 17 goals in just 29 top-team appearances in his debut season but unfortunately a knee injury picked up against Forfar in the Scottish Cup ultimately finished his campaign.
But Shota returned in time to play his part in the Scottish Cup Final win over Celtic and has started this season with some promise.
