Yesterday (9/8/2005)was the most exciting day since getting my new position at this great company. It was a normal night in the begining of the evening, and it was pretty routine for the first & second shows. My co-worker, she is also my trainer, went home early because there were only couple of bookings to collect the payment for, as well as tickets to pick up. When i opened my ticket window @ 8:45pm, there was a party of 30 people waiting to buy tickets for the 9:30 show. They were cast members from France!! They each paid indivually in cash and credit cards...and there were still other parties in line waiting to pay for their tickets with Master Card, Visa, and Cash! (13people). It certainly was very exciting and fast-paced, and I was completely involved in the work during this time: using the computer to update guest's INFO, collecting & changing money, etc....FINALLY I got everybody to the show at about 9:40pm. i guess that there was about 2/3 minutes to communicate & interact with each guest during that time!!!WOW

John's parents are visiting us from Hawaii in Florida on 7/13-7/18.We have been to different Disney theme parks. For example: yesterday was 7/16, first we had our breakfast at IHOP. Secondly, John took us to see Turkey Lake Park which was abut a 20min. drive. Then Windermere Library & Dr. Phillips Library where John' works part-time. Within a 10 min. drive, they visited our home in Orlando, FL. We took them back to the hotel at about 2:00pm, and picked them up at 4:30pm, and went to MGM Studios & Magic Kingdom Parks. After the 10pm fireworks at MK, we took a boat & tram & car to be home at about 11pm.

For my new position job at the P. Hall, my trainer is still on her vacation, so i am the "Door Person". What i do is guide guests to the entrance as a greeter, going to the Outpost to look for late arriving guests. During the in between time i need to wrap silverware, filling 8 trays for the next morning's breakfast! On 6/14/05, i had a chance shadow Todd, who was a friendly, detail-oriented person, for my ticket booth position which i will start when my trainer is back from vacation.
