A Walk in the Park
i woke that morning
with a terrible pain
the day had just broke
and down came the rain
my pain was caused
by the lies of my lover
my heart told me true
i loved another
i went to our meeting place
where he'd always heard me complain
i walked in the shower
just what my soul'd ordain
my friend for so long
was waiting for me there
he held me close
and ran his hands through my hair
i fell in love with him
or so i now claim
now i love him who would
be there, even in the rain
