Friends Forever
In a land enveloped in glittering snow
And Zephyr's frosty breath
Two armies clashed in strife
And vowed to fight to the death
One army was composed of bears
And led by a valiant panda one
The other army's ranks were feline
Their leader a cat with eyes like the sun
The cat army rushed its enemy
Throwing lance and javelin
The pastry bear held their ground, saying:
"it's easier to run forward than back again."
Once upon an ancient time
The panda and the cat were friends
But a horrible betrayal
Brought their bond to a bitter end
"Now, soon, now is the time to strike!";
the feline urged her army on
the panda thought "follow your instincts, follow your heart"
but her life was soon gone
at the sight of their leader's death
the bears became easy prey
both sides felt a terrible pain
as bear and cat souls flickered away
all through the night
the killing would not stop
til at last as dawn grew near
the final bear was slain by an ocelot
as the sun spread its morning glow
over the blood-red snow
the cats looked around
and lowered their weapons and bows
they looked to their brave and fearless leader
walking amoung the dead
at the sight of her panda friend
she sank to her knees and welcomed the tears she shed
"It's over"; she whispered
"At last it's over"
she cried a river that fateful day
as she used her cape as a cover
she closed her eyes and bowed her head
the feline queen, deviod of fear
"Follow your instincts too"
said a voice soft and clear
It was the voice of the panda bear
But how? She was dead
Impossible, or so it seemed
But it continued, the voice inside her head
"Look up to the sky
The star is the key
To grant your greatest desire
and loving fantasy."
The cat looked to the sky
And wished on the last waning star
For something she knew was impossible
And was probably going too far
The star shot down from the heavens
Towards the battleground
The whole army looked up startled
Then put their heads down
When they opened their eyes
A miracle occured
The vanquished bear army began to glow
And started to stir
They were alive!
The cat smiled at her friend
They embraced, and promised
That here and now their strife would end
So from then on the animals lived in peace
Just like sister and brother
Best friends to the end
A bond like no other
