to recruit guile, go down the stairs to the bar. he's the guy in the corner, starin at the wall. go up to him + talk to him. he blabbers on semi-drunkenly for awhile, then
gets the idea that you want to get into viper manor as well. guile enigmatically joined your party! and tells you you need a boat. get out of the bar, + go buy some elements next
door in lisa's element shop. she's got some stuff you probably won't have yet (or at least, don't have enough of). buy *lots* of tablets! (and when i say *lots*,
i mean lots as in like, 15-25 stockpiled, cuz they'r cheap, + *blieve* me, ur gonna need em...) if you recieved the heavy skull (i.e., skelly)
in fossil valley, go up the stairs and enter the house on the right. talk to the old lady (skelly's grandma), + skelly's cousin to awaken skelly... who doesn't
really say anything, but still... leave the house, + head over to the left. standing out of sight in the shadows is some guy. if you agree with him, he'll give
you the "tea for three frame". now, go down the stairs to where lisa's was. head over to the right, go to the house all the way in the back. if your bored, you can talk to the three people in the house, but what your really after is the
profiteer's purse behind the staircase. van and his father gogh don't have much of interest to say, so leave. in the building next to the yard is zappa's smithy.
you can upgrade your weapons here (you have two copper, so you should probably upgrade your swallow now). (tip: forge a copper swallow, and copper mail).
guile will be able to get a brass rod later for free, so don't worry about him. if you don't have enough g's to forge both items, then go back to lizard rock, fight
the beach bum and the opah fish in the first part, and head along the top path to the ring of opah fish, and kill all four. now you have enough g's for whatever
you want to forge, and for elements, if you didn't get as many as you wanted last time (tip: forge the weapons first). now, head back to the main street of
termina. talk to the fat guy in yellow, just because. now, keep going right. see that red tent with the eyes? double-x it, and a fortune-teller appears. if you want a reading, fine, but guile should definately get one. it seems the
magician and the fortune teller have a bet, do they? then she gives serge and kid a reading anyway. alright then. continue onwards, and witness the guy
with the "mermaid" showing it off to a bunch of
kids. korcha appears and scares the kids off. notice he has a boat. head on farther left, and down the staircase. ignore the weird lady who stops you.
enter the house, and find out grecco's not in right now (you can come back for him later). leave the house, and continue across the bridge. go around the
shell-shaped island, and witness riddel and glenn talking about dario, the manor, and the guest from porre. they need a bellflower, but remember glenn
couldn't get any? he notices you have one. you *can* get up to 70g for it, i guess, but do you really need it? they thank you, and leave. follow them, and
you end up under the bridge. korcha's talking to a *real* mermaid. he then notices you, and offers to take you to viper manor (for 100g) if you find someone
that knows how to get there. guile, of course, knows the way, so off you go!
Viper Manor Bluffs
how bout not forgettin to equip your new weapons and armor??? (hey, don't feel bad... i always do ^~_~^ )
alrighty... start climbin. whoops, you've been spotted!!! "hallelujah, it's rainin..." boulders?!?!?! yes, quite... don't worry bout the chests you see along the
way, you can come back later to get them, when there *aren't* frickin boulders being thrown at your head. hey, guess what, the most important thing
right now is stayin alive, cuz for every boulder that hits you, you lose 10HP (like i said earlier, you could die on the bluffs without even gettin attacked by
an enemy (blieve me, it's happened to me (only once, mind you!). so just ignore the chests for now, and here's the direct route for getting up the bluffs in
the shortest amount of time: go straight up from where korcha dropped you off. stand directly under the waterspout until the water stops. now hurry up.
if the water knocks you down, just try again. choose the left ladder-thingy, then choose the right one. climb down that short one, go under the archway,
and climb up the left one. *whew* you've made it! and your HP-level's probably threateningly close to nil! and now you have to fight *this* guy?!?!?!
dammit... hopefully, you've been curing yourself at least every two battles with the enemies on the bluffs.
acacia guards: innate yellow
alrighty then, kick the crap out of this guy, and
when you're done, some bird-man finished him off for you. oh, don't thank him yet, he's your second boss battle on the bluffs, along with his two buddies.
*tip: you can cure yourself and re-allocate elements before battling king moaman.
king moaman: innate black, tech: turbosword (ice + flamesword combined)
blue moaman: innate blue, tech: icesword
red moaman: innate red, tech: flamesword
target king moaman first, take him down, then have kid (red) attack the blue moaman, and guile attack the red one. shouldn't be too tough.
jump over the wall, and kid suggests you wait there til nightfall...
