
Second emissions test. This time the EGR worked FAR better than even if it was new, since it was modified to flow three times as much as before. Carb was still lean though, but timing was set to 10 deg. BTDC where it is supposed to be. Funny thing is, all three emissions went down. Usually if NOX drops HC rises, but a 2 ft. long X 2" dia. ABS pipe filled with silica gel was hooked between the PCV valve and inlet to the carb. The drop in HC can be accredited to no oil entering the engine...the silica took care of that.
