Another experiment, this time using FULLY saturated baking soda solution. As seen, electrodes are spaced about 3" apart and the unit is drawing 5-6 A. There was considerably less junk buildup on the cathode this time because of the fully-saturated state of the water. But the unit did heat up almost to boiling.
