The world requires us to live by a set of unwritten rules if we are to attain and maintain any kind of social status. It requires us to act a certain way, dress a certain style, talk with certain words and phrases, it tells us what movies to watch and what music we are to like. It takes special people to go against this flow and to decide for themselves what they will live like. It takes a unique individual to set up their own standards based on something they truly believe in.

Colossians 2:13b-15 says “He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

THIS is what God thinks about the world and its rules. That code they live by has been taken and overruled. And not only did Christ take it away, he made it a public spectacle for all to see. Our Code is a new freedom by which we can now live. THIS is the something we can believe in and live by.

Luke 9:23 says "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

1 Corinthians 1:18 states “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Do you get it? WE have the power! WE have the truth! WE have what it takes to forget the world and its self-centered rules and regulations. WE have the greatest news anyone could ever hear.

Romans 10:13-14 says “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Are you ready? In Mark 16:15-16 God challenges us to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Are you ready? God has prepared you for such a time as this. If you don’t reach your peers with the Gospel, who will? God is about to move; are you ready to jump on board with God and see what HE can do?
